Love this Club Med! Great people, great skiing, great food and fun! Made friends from every continent (except Antarctica!) Visited with my husband (we ski) and three teenage boys (snowboarders)! Everyone loved this vacation - ESF instructors were fabulous - they really know the mountains!

Stay away from Club Med Val Thorens Sensations!!! Worst Club Med experience I’ve ever had. We were a group of 30 people, many loyal Club Med guests. Rooms of several people from our group were opened by hotel staff and cash that was not kept in safes was stolen. Management did nothing to compensate us and only said they would try to activate insurance after we threatened to make the situation public. Based on our experience, this will likely remain just a promise. Additionally, everyone in our group, including children, suffered from gastrointestinal issues, with some unable to function for a full day or more. To make things worse, I was charged for services I did not use, and despite promises to cancel, the hotel attempted to charge me again on departure. There are many better places to stay. Poor management and customer service.

🚨 Extremely Disappointing Experience at Club Med Val Thorens - OUR WALLETS WERE EMPTIED! We are a group of 30 on our yearly ski vacation and loyal Club Med guests. During our stay, over 2,000 euros in cash were stolen from 3 rooms, from wallets inside closed bags. This happened on the second-to-last day. Despite speaking with hotel manager Boris and reception manager Sanjai, the handling was slow and negligent. We were told not to go to the police while Club Med investigated for over 24 hours, and only late on the last night were we told we must go to the police to activate insurance - impossible, as we were leaving early before the station opened. Club Med understood the theft was committed by a cleaning staff member who did not show up the next day, yet no real action was taken. No refund and no compensation were offered. We have never experienced anything like this, especially not with a brand that presents itself as premium, safe, and family-friendly. This experience has seriously damaged our trust in Club Med, and we will likely not return.

Everything is great, the ski in/out accommodation, the food is great, lots of entertainment in addition to ski, the instructors in ski lessons are all very nice and professional. The staff are very nice and friendly. We really enjoyed the holiday.

Club is great, lots of facilities and food and drinks. In the club the bar is great and staff helpful, there is the la carte restaurant which us also great, but the club could do better with buffet and front reception where the food is mostly cold, and the reception attitude is also cold

This club med is a mess! Incompetent service, bad organization, dishonest business conduct, cold vibe…We stayed in club med arcs earlier so we know what a good club med can be. But no doubt, this one is just far far behind. Our main issue is that on first arrival day there is no ski group lesson. This is not stated in the contract nor any written materials and it’s not in line with other club med like Les Arcs. The ESF front desk lady of the ski school absolutely doesn’t care about club med customers. All her response is like “it’s our policy, not club med’s policy, I don’t care what club med receptionist told you, but no ski class in the first arrival day(so you take it or leave it)”. If I knew earlier this horrible policy, I wouldn’t even book this club med. We stay only four days and weekend already no class offered. You didn’t inform your customers in advance but just reduce my only-two-day classes to half! The hotel manager told us all the club meds are the same but it’s not true, coz Club med arcs had no problem offering us the class in the first arrival day. The room manager / responsable de chambre (a French lady without glasses) didn’t know her job well. Before we checked-in, she told us that our ski equipments should be ready in our locker (which is not true, ski room didn’t prepare our ski equipment at all even though we have already prepaid and requested, club med arcs was much better organized in this matter, everything was ready before when we arrived in our temporary locker) and that we could start our group ski class right away (which is not true either, see above). After we checked in, she didn’t program our correct room number into our room key/ski locker key. We couldn’t enter in our room but receptionist kept telling us that room is not ready and we had to wait. Until 17h, we still can’t get in the room and then we found out the room key was not correct. How incompetent these staffs are… Sometimes there were huge crowds waiting in front of the reception for questions/check-in /check-out but there was only one person working at reception (not always though). Apparently three superiors sitting in the private office didn’t want to help the customers who they assume have endless time and have nothing to do but gladly waiting. We resorted to hotel chambre manager again and she refused to help “it has to go through the reception”, so taking care of the complaint about no electricity in the room for half day long is not within her job description and there is absolutely nothing she could do to solve the problem and she doesn’t care how long we have to wait to get attention from the only one busy receptionist I guess? This is just one example of bad management and bad customer service in a 4 star all inclusive hotel! The system at ski room (for renting the ski equipment) recorded one day fewer than the contract we signed and wanted to charge us one more day which we have already prepaid. We insisted on the contract and finally they let it go. So maybe there is some synchronization problem between club med booking system and ski room billing system. In the beginning of our stay, every place has some weird smells. Like hamman, lobby, and room…And it seems nobody cleans the coffee machine area at 0F (next to the ESF desk). So often it smells like someone vomits there. There is a tiny outdoor jaccuzi but it costs 50e person every time to use (it’s outrageous). There is no pool no sauna and only one hamman closes at 6pm (way too early) Shows at night “pas terrible”…Nothing interesting. Vibe at night here is really dead compared to club med arcs. Room seems clean but bed is not comfortable. Positive points are that ski room staffs know well about ski equipments and proficiency in choosing correct ones for us quickly; service in buffet restaurant was good but food quality was not stable (like overcooked lamb and uncooked sea bass, very good pulled pork and foie gras). All in all, I won’t come back and I will definitely recommend all the people I know not to choose this hotel.

The hotel is nice, the rooms I had no problem with - except for how far away they were and that we would have to walk all the way down just to refill bottles at a water fountain. The initial problem i had is if i would by accidentally leave somthing in the lounge, and come back 5-10 minutes alter to get it - it would be gone. I’d ask who works at the bar they would say nothing has been put behind - they wouldn’t even check, they wouldn’t ask their other coworkers and you’d have to go to the ground floor to ask reception in which they also do not have nothing. I then asked for them to check CCTV to see if they have any updates which then they say they have no updates - the item couldn’t of dissapeared. The buffet - most of the food is practically cold or just barley warm, alot of the plates are still dirty. They say that the breakfast closes at 10:00 however when you’d go at 9:20 they wouldn’t even fry us any egg and say they’re not doing it anymore. After 8ish they are very slow at cleaning up the dishes from the table and putting new utentils down. Dont bring your kid to the hotel as they have no entertainment, no games as in other club med hotels în ski resorts, no classes for kids The location of the jacuzzi is very off putting as you would have to walk through the main sitting area and bar area to even acsess it The skiing is good no problems with that of that’s the only thing your looking for .
